Royal Botanic Garden

The Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney is Australia’s oldest scientific institution and a much loved public garden in the heart of the thriving city. A space layered with history and stories, it faced an increasingly deteriorating website with an ageing CMS and an online offering falling below government best practices in terms of usability of accessibility.

Marzipan Media are prequalified for digital and communications services in NSW, under the SCM2701 scheme, and as such we’re proud to support the Garden in the creation of keystone digital content. We’ve worked side by side for over 6 years providing social media marketing, search campaigns, video production, and the new website with project management & information architecture design services to ensure the new website was built on time, on budget and with accessibility in mind.

Working in house as the lead project manager to create the brand new website built for this beloved green space and its four sister sites. From the creation of the brief, tendering the project and managing suppliers and developers, our founder Ben Adams, saw the creation of the website through to completion. These activities were supported with a new suite of brand images, video content and a mobile app created for the website that launched in Spring 2017. The brand imagery is still on display throughout the Garden today.

The website design and development project saw a great deal of internal stakeholder management and education to highlight the benefits of the content first strategy placing imagery and video at the cornerstone of the new, fully responsive site.  This design will provide the Garden with an image-led tool for sharing its stories for the first time in its 200 year history.

The final stage of the project saw a multi-layered content creation strategy, produced by Marzipan Media to allow fresh photography, video and drone footage to showcase this exceptional place. Local brand photographer, James Horan & his team were brought in to shoot fresh brand content for the Garden, presenting the new website in the best possible light.

Elsewhere we are proud to have produced new video content for the Garden to showcase the brand new Calyx building, the magnificent Vivid Event and some of the staff at the heart of the iconic green space. In our time with the Garden, we’ve trained their teams to take a digital-first approach and continue to work closely with the Gardens for major digital content projects.

In 2020 we will be connecting Salesforce as their primary CRM, conducting training and stakeholder management along the way to ensure the project is a success.

Love this post from @_ourmindfullife; in a busy wo Love this post from @_ourmindfullife; in a busy world, during busy times it’s important to stay focused. It’s a fine line but just how do you be productive instead of busy?⭐️Limit your to-do list to 5 items: less is more. Keep your list short and effective.⭐️Do what’s important first: you have more energy at the beginning of the day. Use it to your advantage.⭐️One thing at a time: quit multitasking and focus on one thing only. ⭐️Turn off notifications: Create a distraction-free zone for maximum productivity. ⭐️Take breaks between tasks: Stretch, drink some water and take some breaths before jumping into the next task. It helps to clear your mind and boost your energy.⭐️Ask for help or delegate: You don’t need to do everything on your own. Good luck!

We wanted to share this epic post about goal setti We wanted to share this epic post about goal setting. We’ve been following this podcast for a long time and the below offers such good advice; not just for work but for life too. That’s kinda why we love the @goodlifeproject. Check it out 👇Art: @harmonywillowstudio🤓• • • 🤓What big goal are you chasing right now? Have you set intentions with yourself to work towards them every day? 💭This isn’t to say that you don’t deserve a day off or that rest days aren’t necessary, but you can absolutely keep yourself on track to reach your goals in simple ways: 👉Set daily or weekly objectives. What do you want to focus on each week or day? Hold yourself accountable and find focus by setting an intention for yourself. 👉Remember your “why.” We all have a reason or goal in mind that makes getting out of bed each day a little easier, so use your purpose to help you work towards your goals. 👉Write your goals down. It helps to have a physical reminder of what we’re aspiring to achieve. So put your reminders in place that you’ll see them frequently to get a kick of motivation. Let us know in the comments what goal or goals you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year! 🤩
