Beyond the Frame – Web Design & Build

Not all websites are created equal.

It was a joy to present the new website for “Beyond the Frame” a fresh podcast from the National Gallery of Victoria currently being produced by our friends at Ampel. The podcast takes a look behind the bigger picture of some of the world’s most important impressionist art. In the latest season, they’re looking at the rebellion of the impressionists – it wasn’t all dreamy brushwork, but rife with bravery, breaking stereotypes and smashing perceptions.

The podcast coincides with a major exhibition of more than 100 masterworks of French Impressionism in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), an institution renowned worldwide for its rich holdings of Impressionist paintings. Part of the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition series, French Impressionism features works by Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Mary Cassatt and more – including 79 works that have never-before-been exhibited in Australia. These important loans from the MFA’s collection provide a rare opportunity to see a significant grouping of Impressionist masterworks in Australia.

It was the perfect opportunity to design a website that used bold, full statement imagery and very little wording on site.  The new website design lets the images do the speaking pulling in the audiences so that they can enjoy the works up close while listening to the podcast.

We’re able to design and produce websites for all sorts of spaces and places. Get in touch today and let us build your new website today or check out our web design services here.
